Fresh from arguably his best performance of the year Wednesday night, scoring 42 points with 12 assist in 25-point come from behind victory against the New Orleans Hornets (Pelicans); the Black Mamba was home at L.A. Live for a sit-down interview on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Kimmel started the conversation discussing the Lakers most recent game in which they went on a 20-0 run to close out the Hornets asking Kobe whether this was his hardest season so far.
Kobe went on to say it’s been his most physical enduring year thus far with time, minutes and age catching up to him after playing for 17 years in the league. Jimmy touched on the expectations the Lakers had before the season signing both Dwight Howard and Steve Nash as Kobe said the season has been tough dealing with new players, coaches and injuries. Kobe’s guaranteed the Lakers would make the playoffs this year and said he would do everything in his power to bring another ring to the city of Los Angeles closing out the show stating that his end was near.
