Kobe “Bean” Bryant announced today that he will make his return and season debut for the Los Angeles Lakers this Sunday against the Toronto Raptors. How did Kobe announce this? In a way that only Kobe could: By releasing a full blown trailer for the occasion with classic Lakers jerseys flapping in the wind over a rising sunset.
This means the entire sports world will be tuned in Sunday night when Kobe takes the court at the Staples Center once again, the first time since tearing his achilles last season. The timing couldn’t be written any better, as Kobe and Nike just rolled out the brand new Kobe 9’s for the world. The only thing left to see is how Kobe actually plays on court. We’re not going to front, we can’t wait to see it go down.
