Kristaps Porzingis Opens Up About Carmelo Anthony Trade Rumors

No matter which side of the ‘trade Carmelo Anthony‘ coin you land on, the fact is, the New York Knicks are not a good basketball team at the moment. They’re certainly not the worst, but from the looks of it, they will not be making the playoffs in the Eastern Conference either.

Some have argued that the organization should start building around the young Kritaps Porzingis and dead themselves of the huge contract Melo signed last offseason.

Although the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers have been teams thrown around to be trade partners, it would absolutely absurd to trade Melo for anything less than another All-Star or some young pieces to build for the future.

Interestingly, GODZINGIS has come to the defense of his teammate during this time, telling the New York Daily News he wants Anthony around for a long time.

“I think it would make life harder for me on the court [if Anthony was traded]. He makes stuff easier for me. There’s still a lot more things I want to learn from Melo. So I would love to have him around for a long time. I always love playing with Melo.”

Who knows what Phil Jackson has going on in the front office, but it wasn’t supposed to go down like this. His tenure as GM has been a disaster in the media and on the court.
