The NY Knicks Tried to Trade Carmelo Anthony to Cavs for Kevin Love

As expected, the Cavs have no interest in Melo!

Yesterday, LeBron James told the Cleveland Cavaliers, that the team needed a play maker, citing him and Kyrie Irving need rest during moments of games. While many thought he was taking shots at team GM David Griffin, he reiterated his comments on social media, explaining how he’s happy with the front office; but desperately needs some help. Well, Phil Jackson thought it would be a great idea to pursue a trade for the vulnerable team involving Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love.

We’re assuming the Cavaliers laughed at the proposal, because they immediately rejected the trade, that would’ve left them without one of the most versatile players in the league. The All-Star forward swap is likely the first of many trade attempts Phil Jackson and the Knicks will try before the February 23rd deadline. It’s unclear if they were trying to package other players in a deal, but it’s safe to safe that we’re in the last days under the Melo regime in the big apple.

Surprisingly, Carmelo recently revealed that LeBron would want to pair up immediately, but likely not at the expense of riding away Love. Let us know in the comments if Cavaliers should’ve taken the deal and if you expect Anthony to remain a Knick after the all-star break.
