Larry Fitzgerald Restructures Contract To Open Flexibility For Cardinals

It appears that Larry Fitzgerald is all in with the Arizona Cardinals, and that is great news for them. Being the ultimate team player that he is, Larry took to his Twitter to reveal that he and the Cardinals restructured his contract to open up flexibility for the team this off-season. This was a move that both Larry and the team needed to get done, with his cap number before the restructure being almost $18 million. This move also puts to sleep any trade talk that was out there about Fitzgerald going to another team, such as the New England Patriots.

Now with Larry locked down to a more financially sensible deal, the Cardinals will be in a place to add some key players and improve a team that was very surprising this past season. They have a good solid core of players and one of the best defenses in the league, so the possibility of adding to that has to have people in Arizona excited. This is just the first development of the long NFL off-season, but we are sure that more surprises are sure to follow in the coming weeks and months.

More details after the jump.
