3 Days Before The Knicks Season Starts, Amar’e Ruled Out 6 Weeks With Knee Injury.
Yeah no big shocker here to add to your list of bad news this week New Yorkers along with that slut Hurricane Sandy, but Yes, Amar’e has indeed re-injured his surgically repaired left knee AGAIN according to multiple NBA league sources (Chris Broussard™). This news comes just 72hours before their first game of the season against new cross town rival, the Brooklyn Nets in a national TV game on TNT Thursday Night.
Initially, the former 6x all-star was expected to only be out only 2-3 weeks after rupturing a popliteal cyst behind his knee 10 days ago but after a 2nd opinion over the weekend from Suns team doctor, Dr. Thomas Carter who performed micro-fracture surgery his left knee in 2005 determined it was necessary he would need a month to recover.
Tyson Chandler, Marcus Camby, Iman Shumpert, amd James White are expected to be out of action when the season starts as well as they could go look to Rasheed Wallace and Kurt Thomas to play the 5 with Carmelo Anthony jumping up to the 4 which he had success last year with. Good Luck with this one Knickerbocker fans as you’re always providing me with tons of entertainment and material to post.
