LaVar Ball Defends Lonzo Ball’s Underwhelming Lakers Debut

We all know LaVar Ball has trolled his way to the top. Him saying outlandish shit is how he got a name across the mainstream, enough to get a shoe out and a Facebook reality show with his family. And just when you thought he was done, he’s just getting started.

For his Los Angeles Lakers debut, Lonzo Ball had 3 points, 4 assists and 9 rebounds.

Everyone on social media roasted him for that stat line, but it was Patrick Beverly‘s play against him that virtually shut him down. Pat visibly called him a bitch on the court and made sure he embarrassed him by the time the night was done.

Afterwards, Stephen A. Smith caught up with pops to ask him about his son’s play. LaVar managed to defend him, saying he had a great game even though his foot was injured. He also said that everyone is calling a bust now, much like in summer league when he started off slow then went off. Him and Stephen A. went back and forth screaming at each other for five minutes, much like they always do when they are in the same room together.

Now that LaVar put a target on Lonzo’s back, it seems like plenty of NBA players are ready to come at his neck. We’ll see how he adjusts to it.
