LeBron James Wins the All-Time Matchup Against Dwyane Wade

Last night, the banana boat brothers of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade faced off for the last time in their career at the STAPLES Center. Of course, as people know, Wade County is currently on his farewell tour in last season in the NBA.

With the Miami Heat playing the Los Angeles Lakers, the entire story line surrounding the game was their friendship, time together and how crazy it is that the two are at different trajectories in their career when they were drafted the same year.

Crazy enough, the two were 15-15 against each other in 30 games and this matchup would be the deciding win for ultimate bragging rights.

And it came down to the buzzer.

With the Heat down three points, LBJ was guarding D-Wade as time was winding down and he couldn’t hit the triple to tie the game. Justise Winslow had a chance to tie the game after the second opportunity rebound, but didn’t convert.

Though the story surrounded the two veterans, the young bulls were the ones who took over. Winslow scored 28 points and 7 rebounds off the bench for Miami, while Kyle Kuzma dropped 33 points and 7 rebounds for L.A.

James finished the game one board short of a triple double with 28 points, 12 assists and 9 rebounds and his brother Wade had 15 points and 10 assists on the night.

Afterwards, LeBron talked about the special moment at STAPLES and their friendship over the years, as well as all of the accomplishments they had together.
