2012 in the world of basketball was obviously the year of LeBron James. James finished last year with his third MVP award, capturing a second USA gold medal in the Olympics but most of all finally being crowned with his first NBA title. A list of accomplishments in a single season hadn’t been seen since Mr. 23 who had the same achievements in 1992.
Earlier today was Miami Heat media day as the captain was on hand to discuss last season with media as well as plans for his teams upcoming season. Miami had a nice off-season acquiring Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis as the two who are coming fresh off surgeries should be able to fill the consistent role player void that was missing last year. Dwyane Wade is still recovering from off-season knee surgery and might miss their season opener, but Chris Bosh who suffered an abdominal injury last playoffs is said to be at 100% healthy for the season.
The upcoming season is expected to be one of the best NBA seasons in over 25 years with competition at all-time high. With powerhouses like the Celtics, Thunder, Lakers and Spurs still in the mix; but also new teams in the hunt like the Clippers, Nets, Knicks and Nuggets to make claim in the 2013 season for bragging rights. Now that the weights lifted of LeBron’s shoulders and the pressure of winning a title….I guess it’s time to….play ball.
Win Or Go Home.
