LeBron James Reportedly Texted Kevin Durant to Team Up in Los Angeles

The offseason NBA news are getting crazy right now, with only a few days left before free agency starts. The rumors surrounding LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are flying, with many media outlets reporting where each might go. We’ve seen numerous segments where the Lakers clear cap space to bring all three in. Or trade offers that could work for Leonard going to the Boston Celtics. Or how LeBron could fit with the Philadelphia 76ers.

According to Stephen A. Smith, King James texted KD about joining him in Los Angeles.

As he put it, he doesn’t know how the conversation went down between the two and what was said, but from what he’s hearing, Durant wasn’t entertaining that notion and wants to stay in Golden State with the Warriors.

Both sides are firmly denying the reports about any texts taking place, but SAS says the sources that told him the news have never lied to him.

Lakers fans are on the edge of their seats right now, dreaming up every possibility of a super team happening, but don’t be surprised if none it goes down. Even if they landed Kawhi and LeBron, they would have to sell the farm to do so and that doesn’t sound like the best move for the future.
