Not a month goes by where Lil Wayne isn’t making an appearance on ESPN somewhere. Whether it’s First Take or SportsCenter, the staff always loves having him around.
To promote his upcoming project with 2 Chainz, ColleGrove, Weezy checked in with Stan Verrett and was asked about his performance on The Tonight Show. Apparently, he didn’t even know the song name, but a video was shot for a different track, so more material is on the way.
In speaking about the Super Bowl, he said he enjoyed his Apartments.com commercial and was pleased with Beyonce‘s performance, even though he thought it was the Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation that was out there. He also defended Cam Newton and said if he was a player on his team, he would stand behind him 1000% after his reaction at his post-game conference.
Finally, he spoke a little about some athletes he’s cool with, name dropping Von Miller, Chris Paul, DeSean Jackson, John Wall and LaMarcus Aldridge.
