Back in 2006, during Tha Carter III sessions, a song titled “Cry Out” surfaced on the web — like most of Lil Wayne‘s music did back in that time — and at the time it was assumed to be titled “Amen.” 10 years after the fact, the song’s producer, StreetRunner, who handled the production on “Gossip,” which this song shares a likeness to, has shared a newly mixed and mastered version of the song for listeners to enjoy possibly one of Weezy’s deepest and best songs.
For sample clearance reasons, the song was never made available on any retail released project, but we can definitely appreciate the sound of the old Wayne on this one.
