Spurs Guard Ginobli To Miss Start Of 2013 Playoffs With Strained Hamstring.
San Antonio fresh from their embarrassing lost last night to the LeBron-Wade less Miami Heat AT home in which Chris Bosh hit a game-winning 3 with only seconds remaining, get more bad news this week with the announcement of guard Manu Ginobili having to be sidelined the next three weeks.
The Spurs are currently first in the NBA and have played better without Manu this year going 10-4 in comparison to 22-10 last year; but the postseason is a different story. San Antonio’s been grooming Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green as the back-court tandem of the franchise’s future and with Ginobili out, they’ll definitely be needed in the playoffs playing elite level play if the Spurs want to make it out the first round pending a match-up against the Utah Jazz who are a bad overall match-up or the Los Angeles Lakers who’s age can survive against the half-court Spurs.
