Ballers returns tonight!
A few days ago, Mark Wahlberg was recent guest on ESPN’s popular morning show, Mike & Mike, to discuss the upcoming sophomore season of his new hit HBO series, Ballers. During the interview, he opened up on his role as executive producer for duties the series, including doing the best possible presentation of making real-life NFL situations public to the small-screen.
While Roger Goodell and team owners around the NFL haven’t approved of the show, publicly, he went to say how the Commissioner tried to stop players from appearing in the show. However, Wahlberg has the likes of Antonio Brown, Steven Jackson, DeSean Jackson and members of the New England Patriots team to make a special secret cameo in the Miami-based show (see: Entourage).
The OG Marky Mark believes the series is good to show players in not only the NFL, but sports in general, the dangers of money mismanagement, ignoring health problems, drug usage and having the wrong people around your inner circle. Take a listen to Mr. Wahlberg discuss what he has in store for season two of the series, which premieres tonight at 10:00pm ET/PT on HBO.
