Milwaukee Bucks Want to Spend to Give Giannis Antetokounmpo Supporting Cast

Will he stay in Milwaukee or find greener pastures in free agency? That’s the question for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.

Though he has stated he wants to stay on the team, the franchise has a job to do.

After their disappointing exit from the playoffs, the organization has talked to Giannis and told him they will spend well into the luxury tax for him. According to ESPN, management, Antetokounmpo and his manager spoke on what to do to make the team better for next season.

The two sides are set to speak further about the topic when he gets back from vacation.

Milwaukee is set to offer Giannis the SUPERMAX extension worth a reported $220-$250 million over the next five years. Antetokounmpo will be going into the last year of his contract and could go into free agency in 2021.

Coach Mike Budenholzer and the Bucks GM will be working on revamping the roster to help Giannis, though they’ve been one of the best the past few seasons.
