Miami Heat at New York Knicks
Time: 1:00 PM (ET) | Today
Network: ABC
**UPDATE**
FINAL: Heat 99 | Knicks 93
Who is ready for some playoff-atmosphere basketball in March? Well that is going to be the feeling when the red hot Miami Heat stroll into Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks on Sunday. The world will be watching a game that is looking like the most likely match-up for the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks have been up and down lately but have had the Heat’s number this year, winning the first two games by 20 points in each contest.
The recently moved struggling Jason Kidd out of the starting lineup to mix it up a little. The key for the Knicks will be to find Melo some help so he doesn’t have to have the bulk of the scoring on his shoulders. If they are able to spread it out and get hot from 3 then they will have a very legitimate shot at taking this one.
Now let’s talk about the Miami Heat. They are on a tear. Plain and simple. LeBron James has been playing out of this world and they have been executing on all levels as a team. The winning streak has been in jeopardy a couple of times but they have always been able to turn it on at the end and pull it out.
Going into MSG the Heat will look to continue exactly what they have been doing all season. If their shooters are on then it might get out of hand. And we all know how Bron likes playing in the Garden so look for him to do his thing to the fullest degree.
When it all comes down to it, this will be a heavyweight slug-fest. Both teams are looking to make a statement in this one, so expect it to be a physical contest. The Heat are out to prove that they can go on the road and beat the Knicks in their house. The Knicks are looking to prove that they are still an elite team that can win a title. This game is going to be must-see tv, so you better be ready.
