There will always be people who are mad at All-Star picks when it all goes down, but there is outrage over this year’s All-Star reserves.
But first thing’s first, let’s get to who did get chosen by NBA coaches to represent each conference in this year’s events. In the East, Jimmy Butler got his well-deserved nod after being snubbed as a starter. His teammate Bam Adebayo also made the cut for the first time, just like Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis and Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. In the West, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert both get first down nods, alongside Pelicans break out star Brandon Ingram.
Among the other reserves, include veterans Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Nikola Jokic, Kyle Lowry, Khris Middleton and Ben Simmons.
In total, there were nine first time All-Stars to make the cut in both the starters and reserves.
