NBA Conference Semifinals Preview

Worst Nightmare?

Sunday the Clippers went into Memphis and took a hard fought game 7 after being up 3 to 1 in the series. That win marked their first series win since 2006 and 3rd in franchise history. San Antonio has been home for more than week resting up after sweeping the Utah Jazz, extending their current winning streak to 14 games dating back 6 weeks ago. During their regular season meetings, San Antonio won the 2 out of the 3 meetings. In the third meeting, Tony Parker sat out with a sore thigh and LA won their first game in San Antonio since in over a decade. This series is expected to game 5 games with the Spurs winning this one in convincing fashion. I’m not putting anything past Chris Paul, but the Spurs are playing their best team basketball ever in the Tim Duncan’ era and now with their big 3 healthy, they’re a sleeper team this year to take it all.
