The league has not officially announced the NBA schedules as of yet, but news about when opening night is happening, what teams are playing and the Christmas Day games have trickled out this weekend and there’s some interesting matchups.
With much anticipation with the upcoming season and reshuffling of superstars to new teams, the NBA is looking to pit together story lines across the big days.
Zion Williamson will spearhead one of the planned matchups on October 22, opening night, as his New Orleans Pelicans will take on reigning champion Toronto Raptors. The battle of Los Angeles will be going down that day as well, as the Lakers will take on the Clippers to kick off the season. You know the NBA was going to waste zero time putting LeBron James and Anthony Davis up against Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to stir shit up.
Some of the games we should expect on Christmas will also include another battle of STAPLES Center, the Milwaukee Bucks at the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Houston Rockets at the Golden State Warriors.
All X-mas day matchups will be going down on ESPN.
