It’s not looking good for AP
Adrian Peterson will not be making his return to the NFL this season, after an appeal for his suspension was denied by former NFL executive Harold Henderson. Henderson was hired as an independent arbitrator during the case so he could hear both sides and come to a ruling.
Adrian was suspended after accusations of child abuse surfaced in the media and amidst the Ray Rice scandal, the NFL took a very strict approach to the allegations. The NFLPA has been fighting to get the running back reinstated into the league and back on the field, but every attempt so far has failed and been denied by Goodell. Including the one today.
Henderson had this to say about his ruling:
What this means for AP is that he is most likely going to serve the last three games of the season without pay and since the punishment carries a minimum of six games, it will roll over into the 2014-2015 season and he will most likely miss the first three games next year.
Peterson will now take his appeal to federal court.
