NFL Responds to Tom Brady Concussion Reveal from Gisele Bundchen

Brady suffered multiple concussions last season according to wife

Nearly 10 years ago, Tom Brady revealed that he wanted to play in the NFL until he was 45. Well, after winning last February’s Super Bowl, he intended to keep playing for five more seasons. During an interview on CBS this week, his wife Gisele Bündchen revealed that he’s suffered from multiple concussions last season and wants to have him healthy past a football career.

It’s evident that she’s pressuring him to stop playing, citing she wants the two to live into their 100s and is concerned with his immediate health. While past legends have had to leave the game due to injuries, head trauma builds up through cumulative concussions – which could prematurely end his career. Well, the NFL rushed to cover their asses started a private investigation of their own and shared statement through league spokesperson Brian McCarthy.

He went to say, “We have reviewed all reports relating to Tom Brady from the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultants and certified athletic trainer spotters who worked at Patriots’ home and away 2016 season games as well as club injury reports that were sent to the league office.

There are no records that indicate that Mr. Brady suffered a head injury or concussion, or exhibited or complained of concussion symptoms. Today we have been in contact with the NFLPA and will work together to gather more information from the club’s medical staff and Mr. Brady.

The health and safety of our players is our foremost priority and we want to ensure that all our players have and continue to receive the best care possible.”

Although the NFL is still monitoring the situation, the NFLPA is doing an investigation of their own, to ensure one of the most iconic players is able to continue his career. We’ll be keeping an eye on this news for the coming months, leading up to the fall season to defend his title again.
