March 3rd | Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks | 99-93
Highlight: One J.R. Smith turnover leads to LeBron James giving Heat first victory of season against Knicks.
The Miami who had only lost 15 games the entire season, lost 2 of those to the New York Knickerbockers. The one single player that the Miami Heat fears in the NBA, is Carmelo Anthony, strictly because of his size, speed and IQ that mirrors LeBron James (with a better offensive game). Both teams are friendly off the court, but with the intense pressure to have success this year, there haven’t been any smiles on the court this year.
Defeating the Knicks in an embarrassing way during last year’s playoffs, the Knicks revamped their roster signing JR Smith, Jason Kidd and Raymond Felton, to name a few. Down by 4 with 30 seconds left, the Knicks were looking to cut the lead to one score, but a J.R. Smith turnover would give LeBron James the go-a-head game winner in an open fast break dunk, to flush it down the throats of the Knicks faithful.
