Peyton Manning Officially Retires from the NFL

No Los Angeles Rams plans after all

Last month, Peyton Manning completed his legacy and final career accomplishment, with winning Super Bowl 50 against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Manning, who turns 40 in two weeks, will officially call it quits from the gridiron tomorrow, when he holds a retirement press conference.

Throughout his career, Peyton leaves the NFL as the all-time leader in pass yards (71,940), pass touchdowns (539), and is tied with Brett Favre for wins at 186 – so there’s no question he’ll be heading to Canton, Ohio in a few years for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Initially, there was speculation that Manning could be taking his talents to the newly Los Angeles Rams team this summer; but those rumors are have come to an end. Hobbled by several career-threatening injuries over the last four years, Peyton leaves behind an 18-year career as a champion.

While no player in the NFL will surpass Joe Montana as the greatest quarterback ever, let us know in the comments where you rank Manning among the greats of Tom Brady and the others.
