When The Last Dance was airing, several outlets reported that Scottie Pippen was livid with his portrayal in the documentary. The odd part is we didn’t see him promoting the film, and he didn’t do interviews to speak on it.
This is what triggered many into thinking there was beef with Michael Jordan.
In a new interview with AP, Pippen refutes all the negative talk and says there’s no rift between the two ex-teammates:
“Why would I be offended by anything that happened 30 years ago?
I wasn’t upset about it. It didn’t bother me at all. It was an opportunity for our younger generation that hadn’t seen or knew anything about basketball in the ’90s.”
So while on the surface it seems like things are okay, we’re still not convinced by Scottie’s statement.
