In his first year in the NBA it was hard to tell if Paul George was going to be able to make the jump to the elite level. Halfway through this season and that same question is hardly in doubt. He has taken control of the Indiana Pacers and made them a major contender in the Eastern Conference. He was able to shine this year with the absence of Danny Granger, and took full advantage, as he has been selected to his first All-Star game.
What separates George from the rest of the pack is that he has become a lock-down defender as well as a supreme scorer in the league. Good things are on the way for the Pacers as Paul George continues to get better game by game.
