Will Serena finally win the Australian Open again?
At the tender age of 33, Serena Williams is still currently ranked the no. 1 overall women’s tennis player in the world. Following the US Open last year, the SoCal native won her 18th Grand Slam singles title (third consecutive win for the event). In a sit-down with Chris Evert, Serena opened up on the big win and how she was already thinking of her 19th victory and how she’s been able to remain motivated after the years.
Her current goal is to ultimately surpass Steffi Graf, but realizes she still has a lengthy time to go. With the 2015 Australian Open set to begin tomorrow, she’s looking to win the championship for the first time since 2010. Watch more from the interview above, where she opens up on how longer she can remain an elite player.
