Back from injury
One of the most criticized players in the NBA last year was Kevin Love. He took a lot of the scrutiny for the Cleveland Cavaliers season and was the subject of plenty of controversy when the team wasn’t winning, as he tried finding his role on the team.
Then when the playoffs hit and it seemed like the Cavs were hitting on most cylinders, he suffered a shoulder injury thanks to Kelly Olynyk. The dislocated shoulder ultimately sidelined him for the rest of the playoffs and he needed a 4-6 month recovery time. With his future in Cleveland the topic of conversation after the team lost to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, he silenced all doubts when he signed a long term deal to stay with the team.
Now, months after his injury and as the season approaches, Love has worked hard to get his body back into basketball shape and The Player’s Tribune was there to capture some of the rehabilitation in Park City, Utah with Alex Moore.
From doing leisure exercises outside that helped work the shoulder, to more intensive muscle training and getting back on the court, K-Love explains what it’s been like all these months without basketball and what he’s focused on heading into the season.
