In one of the must-watch games of the year, Kawhi Leonard made his return to San Antonio to face his old Spurs team in a new jersey as the Toronto Raptors are in town.
To no surprise, the fans in S.A. booed him during player introductions.
The organization was class and put together a tribute for Leonard and Danny Green that played beforehand, which thanked them for their time with the team. It’s safe to say Green is still loved.
As of now, the Raps came out of the gate swinging and took a 19 point lead to end the first quarter and Toronto has not come close in the game as of yet.
UPDATE: The Spurs held on to the lead and never looked back. Kawhi finished with 21 points in the game. Meanwhile, DeMar DeRozan finished with his first career triple double with his own 21 points, plus 14 rebounds and 11 assists.
Coach Pop said he felt bad about the fans booing Kawhi.
