This doesn’t mean he’ll be back in two weeks, though
Last night, Steph Curry injured his knee on the final play of a first half meeting against the Houston Rockets. His leg bent awkwardly, as he soon ran off the court – hobbling back to Golden State Warriors trainers. After missing the previous game with a sprained right ankle, Curry’s health deteriorated even more when he was unable to return to action.
Visibly in tears walking back to the locker room, after trying to give it a go at halftime, Golden State remained optimistic about his health – seeing him leave the arena on his own two feet. Monday morning, the team conducted an MRI to see if he had any season-ending threats to his right knee.
Luckily, the team stated that he only suffered a Grade 1 MCL sprain, which would allow for a reevaluation in two weeks. Golden State doesn’t play against until Wednesday night, as they’ll have the chance to close out their first-round series against the Houston Rockets.
Their next round opponent, which will likely be the L.A. Clippers, are currently in a war of their own against the Portland Trail Blazers. With that series likely set to go 6 or possibly 7 games, the Warriors could by some time in hopefully having to play without Curry for the first two games of next round.
However, if anything pre-empts his return to the court, where doctors feels he’s not ready to return; it could drastically change the landscape of the NBA Playoffs and most likely end their chances of repeating as Champions. Take a look at statements released by Curry and the team below.

Warriors say they will re-evaluate Steph Curry in two weeks. Doesn't mean he's automatically back in two weeks.
