The face of the NBA remains the same and for the past two years, it’s been Steph Curry. The back-to-back MVP and only player to ever receive the award unanimously claims the top spot in jerseys sold, ahead of the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
The Golden State Warriors have taken some damage in the public eye in the offseason, since blowing the 3-1 NBA Finals lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers then signing Durant to the team in the summer. The team had to ship out key pieces from their championship squad to do so. Although Russell Westbrook and James Harden have been better point guards this season, Chef Curry seems to be the fan favorite still.
You can tell by the fact he got voted into the Western Conference All-Star starting lineup over Westbrook to much scrutiny. Actually, NBA fans have delivered plenty of backlash since.
