“I’m fine with being fourth-highest paid Warrior” – Curry

Over the weekend, Steph Curry was guest on TK Show podcast with Tim Kawakami for Mercury News, to discuss witnessing LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers celebrate a championship on his homecourt last June. During the 30-minute conversation, the former league MVP also opened up on what went through his head when Kevin Durant cost them the Memphis Grizzlies last week, where Draymond Green called out the entire team for their lackluster performance.

While the team is likely to run away with the league’s best record for a third consecutive year, there has been ramblings whether or not a roster change is imminent in the summer with either himself, Durant or Klay Thompson. Curry’s set to become the first NBA player ever to be eligible for a $200 million contract this summer, but cited he’s okay with being the fourth-highest paid player on the team. He went to say “One thing my pops always told me is you never count another man’s money.

It’s what you’ve got and how you take care of it. And if I’m complaining about $44 million over four years, then I’ve got other issues in my life.” Whether or not leaving the team was option for him, he said it’s not possible and has fell in love with the Bay Area. With the team looking to capture their second title this summer, listen to the entire 30-minute conversation with the world’s best shooter.
