Stephen A. Smith Believes Kyrie Irving Wants Out of Cleveland Because of LeBron James

Is Kyrie unhappy with the Cavs?

Yesterday, Stephen A. Smith dropped a bomb on ESPN’s First Take, insinuating that Kyrie Irving isn’t happy with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Before LeBron James returned home in 2014, Kyrie ran the point-guard role but has had to take a backseat to the King on the court. While the two have love for each other, Stephen went to say he thinks they don’t want to play together – citing Irving is even unhappy with the situation. Internally, Smith also said that the circle of Kyrie wants him to be in a bigger market, as he’s in just first year of a five-season, $95-million-dollar contract.

However, the most shocking revelation of the interview was that he believes the team will implode if they don’t win the NBA Championship. With the Golden State Warriors unlikely to slow down for an imminent repeat, both Kyrie and Kevin Love signed maximum contracts last summer, so a trade to a bigger market is the only way they’ll get out of town – and LeBron isn’t going anymore. Watch the First Take conversation below and Stephen A. Smith’s interview with ESPN Radio.
