The Rams are kicking off their campaign in Los Angeles next season and they’re already making a splash in the draft to start the year on the right side of things.
The organization is wheeling and dealing and has managed to acquire the No. 1 pick in this year’s NFL draft from the Tennessee Titans, who had been taking inquiries about trading down for some time now. The Titans will send their first round, 4th round and sixth round picks to the Rams in exchange for the Rams’ first rounder, two picks in the second round and their third round pick. Not only that, they also give up their first and third round picks in 2017 too.
A big price to pay to select No. 1 overall.
The trade now gives the Titans nine selections in this year’s draft, while the Rams can start their tenure in Los Angeles with the quarterback of their choice.
This is only one of several deals that are certain to go down before the day of the draft on April 28, starting the domino effect on the league in terms of draft value and need.
