The Biggest Free Agents of the 2014 NBA Off-Season

LeBron James

At the age of 29, LeBron James joined elite company along the likes of Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan and Magic Johnson the last two years, finally adding some long-due rings to his fingers. Last season was arguably his toughest to date, carrying Miami just short of the finish line in their NBA Finals loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

After four consecutive Finals appearances and an Olympic gold medal win in 2012 with little rest in between, LeBron will be looking to bring new talent to Miami or join young talent back home in Ohio. Pat Riley’s known to have the trust of James in comparison to the situation in Cleveland with Cavaleirs owner Dan Gilbert; but a rising star in the likes of Kyrie Irving and future number one pick Joel Embiid is something even LeBron couldn’t see himself passing up on. In the prime of his career right now (with only 5 great years remaining on a tracked body), we seriously doubt the KING wants to see another rebuilding process go down. He still holds the city of Cleveland close to his heart and would like more than anything to bring an NBA title to the fans there.

An aging Dwyane Wade along with even older role players could be seeing a re-decision from Mr. James in the coming weeks after a family vacation.

Likely Destinations: Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat
