Can San Antonio finally win back-to-back NBA titles?
What more can we say about the San Antonio Spurs? From having the best coach and arguably the best system the NBA has ever seen, the Spurs are without a doubt the favorites to win the NBA world title once again. Gregg Popovich isn’t popular among many league executives because he likes to rest his starters, which is one reason why they’ve been able to maintain energy in the playoffs. Following one of the most dominant NBA Finals displays on offense (and defense) we’ve ever seen, San Antonio returns with the 23-year-old MVP Kawhi Leonard to give relief to Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.
With essentially their entire cast of assembled players returning (plus one rookie), the Spurs have a chance at legitimately winning their first ever back-to-back title. If you remember in 2013 when Ray Allen hit the infamous corner three-pointer over Parker, this discussion would be whether the Spurs are the greatest dynasty ever in basketball.
