Tonight, the 2014-15 season officially starts, highlighted by the matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs. Gregg Popovich’s collection of players returns this year for another run at the Larry O’Brien trophy and will be receiving their rings tonight during the pre-game ceremony. Although they won the title last season, we’re assuming that infamous game 6 is still in the back of their heads from two years ago.
San Antonio is fresh from winning their fifth championship in the last 15 years and are looking to build onto their dynasty. LeBron James finally returned home and gained his public approval rating back, now at an all-time high. The league has seen multiple injuries to superstars Kevin Durant and Paul George recently, while Derrick Rose will be looking to stay healthy for the first time in three years.
Although there’s many teams on the rise to want be legitimate title contenders, we have a few questions heading into the season beginning on the next page and beyond for the next 7 months heading forward.
