Is this the year the Chris Paul & The Clippers make the Finals?
Having the 2nd best coach, the league’s best point guard alongside a superstar man beast and a solidified supporting cast would result in some kind of championship right, right? Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case for the Los Angeles Clippers; but coming into the 2015 season, this collective feels a bit different than previous affairs.
The arrivals of Jordan Farmar, Spencer Hawes, Chris Douglas-Roberts as reserves for Los Angeles may finally have the right cast of members to make a serious playoff run. Since Chris Paul has arrived, the team is yet to get past the conference semifinals, but that could change this year with the balance of the Western Conference imminently shifting their way in the coming seasons. Last season, they came just within seconds of advancing to the conference finals, but back-to-back CP3 turnovers sealed their fate losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder
With DeAndre Jordan playing in a contract year, he should be more than motivated to remain on the court and be able to knock down key free throws (see: Hack-A-SHAQ). Now that the Donald Sterling controversy is behind them, the new Kings of Los Angeles come into this season as a favorite among all teams.
