Top 5 NCAAB Men’s Teams For Bracketology 2013

Miami Hurricanes | 24-6
Season: 2013 ACC Tournament Champions | Ranked No. 2 In East Regional

Your eyes are telling you correct, this isn’t college football, as the Miami Hurricanes Men’s college basketball team has been one of the biggest surprises of the season. The ‘Canes being led by sophomore guard Shane Larkin, along with seniors Kenny Kadji and Durand Scott; won their first their first ACC tournament title over the weekend defeating North Carolina in the final.

Heading into the division I tournament, Miami has a number two seed in the East Regional below the team who we think will be their opponent in the elite 8, Indiana.

Shane Larkin who’s the team captain is going to have to be the key for the team, if they want to succeed in the upcoming tournament, being a leader on the court and bringing intensity to the team when they need it. Jim Larranaga who formerly had success turning around the George Mason team has instantly turned around the Miami team going 49-16 in just two seasons.

Some believe with Miami’s recent play that they deserve a number one seed, even above Indiana, and if they do make it to the final four, there should be no more doubts on Larkin or Larranaga to lead the team to the final four in Atlanta next month. They could also be the sleeper and/or dark horse to win it all if they catch on fire.
