Mike Evans
When you already have 6’5″ Vincent Jackson running routes on the outside, are without Mike Williams (who got traded to the Buffalo Bills earlier this year), and draft rookie Mike Evans from Texas A&M in the first round, you are sure to make him a starter when the season rolls around. Standing at 6’5″ next to Jackson and newly acquired Austin Seferian-Jenkins, the WR core isn’t looking too shabby out in Tampa Bay.
Mike Evans will still need a little time to become accustomed to the speed of the NFL, but when VJAX is getting the double team, that’s when Evans will thrive. It doesn’t even matter who’s passing to him.
He might not be starter out of the gate unless you have him locked in as a possible FLEX option, but don’t expect that to continue throughout the first few weeks of the season.
