Honorable Mentions: Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs

Miami Heat: Word on the town was, LeBron James had his eye on UCONN point guard Shabazz Napier and the team made sure to trade up for him to keep their star happy. It’s safe to say he’s probably returning to South Beach next year. Sorry Cleveland.

Los Angeles Lakers: Every mock draft had Julius Randle going to the L.A. and it happened. One of the most NBA-ready athletes in the draft gets to pair up with Kobe Bryant, to give the Lakers some presence down low and develop with some of the best coaches in the league. With Kobe on his way out, Randle will be a nice piece to start building the next generation with.

San Antonio Spurs: It seems like they got a steal in UCLA power forward Kyle Anderson and it’s almost scary at the fact he could be plug and play right away. He’ll have to learn the Popovich system, but he’s exactly what they had with Boris Diaw, except younger and with more potential. We’re curious to see what he does next year.
