Winners, Losers & Head Scratchers From The 2014 NBA Draft

2014 NBA Draft Lottery
Building for the future. There’s a few teams that missed their mark.

It was a very eventful and somewhat surprising NBA Draft (for a few teams at least). On a night that saw a few confusing picks and some reaches early on, everything went almost according to plan. Of course, just because it went as predicted, that doesn’t mean a few teams still didn’t lose with their choices of players this year. Some definitely upgraded and picked up the guys they wanted.

With such a deep draft, there were bound to be a few steals, including Gary Harris dropping all the way to the #19 pick, Shabazz Napier going #26 and Rodney Hood slipping to #23. All three were predicted to go higher than they did.

Those players and more are going into the NBA with a chip on their shoulder, so we broke down some of the NBA teams that picked them and gave them the titles of winners and losers for last night’s draft. A handful of organizations made their moves for Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James too and it was clearly obvious through their picks and/or trades (cough: Miami Heat, Houston Rockets & Chicago Bulls).

Who else baffled us with their picks and potentially lost, though?
