Winner: Phoenix Suns
Although we were hoping the Phoenix Suns drafted more front court players, they left Brooklyn with some quality talent with 3 first-round picks last night.
Starting with NC State standout wing player, T.J. Warren arrives to a team that’s in desperate need of a league-ready small forward and will most likely have a legitimate shot at winning a starting spot. For a team that won 48 games last year and missed the playoffs to the Dallas Mavericks by one loss, we’re certain the young team will find their way into this year’s playoffs.
Phoenix also drafted Bogdan Bogdanovic and Tyler Ennis who join the team’s backcourt tandem of Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic. Most will say (including us), why draft more guards if their need is a big? In the NBA Draft, you always have to draft the best available talent you think that will mesh with your team. Phoenix obviously isn’t concerned about egos on their team and has landed three new draftees who will be able to fit in Jeff Hornacek’s system.
