Winner: Utah Jazz
Dante. Exum. The 6-6 guard from Australia was one of the most talked about prospects heading into the draft and most believed him to be the best point guard available. The combination of last year’s pick, former Michigan stand out Trey Burke, Gordon Hayward and Dante Exum is going to be fun to watch. The young back court duo of Burke and Exum complement each other very well.
The Jazz later added further depth to the small forward position with their pick at the 23rd spot selecting Duke prospect Rodney Hood. It is hard to find a former Coach K player not prepared for the NBA mentally, and Hood is no different. He is a very smart and efficient offensive player adding an impressive jump shot to the mix. Although, he is not jumping off the page with his measurements or athletic ability he will be a solid contributor to a young Jazz team constantly improving.
