Capcom Developing Live-Action ‘Street Fighter’ TV Series

Coming later 2019?

Street Fighter has officially become the latest comic and video game series to land a live-action deal. According to Deadline, the Capcom franchise has secured a deal with Mark Gordon and Entertainment One for a 12-episode first season. Joey Ansah, Jacqueline Quella and Mark Wooding from the live-action web series, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, are set to also executive produce.

The show is set to center around the game’s World Warrior story-arc – which was introduced in SF II. For younger viewers who have no history with the series, they’ll get a chance to see Ryu, Ken, Guile and Chun-Li attempt to take down M. Bison and his Shadaloo organization. While this is just details for the first season, expect more characters to emerge down the line if it’s a success.
