Capcom talks PC, Xbox Series X, PS5 2022 games, as COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto is making major changes to the popular AAA-title company. While many are waiting for details on the next-gen version of Street Fighter and whether it’ll make its way onto the Xbox Series X, alarming information has emerged.

This week, Tsujimoto revealed to Japanese publication Nikkei that Capcom will focus mainly on PC software heading forward.

Haruhiro continued saying, “PC is driving global sales. We have recently stated that we will make the PC our main platform. At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, we focused on exhibiting the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise, and I think people will be able to experience the change in our approach.”

Due to the insane rise of Japanese PC use during the pandemic and imminent lockdowns again, Tsujimoto continued saying that the PC’s large increase in digital sales led to the third-party giant to shift focus from consoles.

This will likely affect the future of popular franchises like Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, Monster Hunter to name a few. If you remember last year, we broke the Street Fighter on next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series.

While Capcom USA is yet to share official details themselves, this PC-driven focus now is something to not overlook if you love those previously mentioned franchises.
