Every battle defines you!
Following the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the pending roll-out for Justice League next year, Warner Bros. is looking to capitalize on their rebooted rollout of the DC Universe. With e3 just a few days away, it was imminent that some type of comic-hero game from the DC brand would be unveiled, but nobody expected a game of this magnitude to surface.
In an accidental leak to store managers of GameStop from NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon is planning an official sequel to his Injustice: Gods Among Us fighting game of 2013.
The new-gen release is expected to hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC by March of 2017 – which will be in time before the first Justice League film hits theaters 8 months later. The poster above, teases a battle between The Flash and Batman, with a tagline of “Every battle defines you.”
Warner Bros. Interactive is yet to address this slip up from GameStop, but Ed Boom has changed his twitter avatar to ‘II.’ For some that expected a fighting game to arrive from the company after Mortal Kombat X this fall, you can get your money’s worth over the next 9 months – for an extended play of the fatality-catered title. Stay tuned for an official unveiling at some point next week.
