Nearly three years ago, Microsoft unveiled their action and role-playing exclusive title, Scalebound. The title was shown numerous times after the big Los Angeles event, including making an appearance at e3 2016 last summer. However, Microsoft Studios has decided that the game was too far behind in progression for a release this year and have decided to scrap the Xbox One and Windows PC exclusive. In a press release statement this week, the company said,
“After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for Scalebound. We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves and other great experiences.”
This now marks the first major cancellation of an XB1 exclusive, so we’re hopeful those previously mentioned titles are being mad their mid-generation update system, the Scorpion.
