Microsoft Launches iPhone-Like Service for Xbox One

Sony & Nintendo likely following suit. . .

After months of rumors, Microsoft’s month-to-month Xbox Access service for consoles is officially here. The gaming giant took a page out of the smartphone’s industry book to finesse consumers with a new installment plan for either the Xbox One X (4K HDR content) or Xbox S (1080p).

The X plan includes the console, plus 24 months of Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass for $34.00/month for 24 months. The One S includes the same plan as the X, but will be only $21.99/month for 24 months. This promotion is set to run for a limited time until the end of the year.

However, with this deal likely to exceed expectations on Microsoft’s end (holiday season), we’re assuming Sony will likely be the first to follow this plan in 2019 – with Nintendo right behind.
