According to Microsoft insider Brad Sams, a new Xbox hardware and controller unveiling is happening at e3. While it’s unlikely that a successor to the current model will be released before the end of the decade, the new controller is expected to be similar to its current design – but will come in a new colors. According to Sams, Microsoft is also planning a much large hardware related announcement, beyond the imminent Xbox-slim model, which could likely be a new Elite unit.
Following Nintendo’s NX announcement and rumors of Sony’s PlayStation 4K NEO console last month, these reports surfacing could be indirectly provided by Microsoft themselves.
