Get ready for the big n!

After nearly a year of rumors swirling, Nintendo finally struck first in the 2016 video game wars, to reveal their new NX console would be arriving in 2017. The Nintendo NX will officially launch next March, which was unveiled in company report this morning – revealing that the new gaming platform would feature a rebooted experience, that will not be related to VR.

In the midst of reporting a 61 percent profit loss due to the failure of its Wii-U console, Nintendo also shared unfortunate news in The Legend of Zelda Wii U being delayed to 2017 (Yes, another delay). Luckily, next year, we’ll be able to play Link on Nintendo NX, as the next-gen console will see a simultaneous launch with its predecessor – hopefully on launch day.

With both Sony and Microsoft struggling to create proper first party titles, we’re curious why Nintendo didn’t go for a holiday 2016 release this year. Instead, NX will not be shown at the upcoming e3 events and will instead have a special worldwide reveal later this year.

The official console retail date and pricing should be announced before the end of 2016.
